this is the first quilt i have ever made .. at the time i was really happy w/the outcome ..
music, of course, is my passion and i do like hearts as well .. i thought the two would look nice together ..
considering i'd never made one b4, i was pretty proud of myself and happy w/the outcome ...
i washed it one day and when i took it out of the washing machine, all of the batting was all bunched up and the whole thing was really distorted ..
.. at the time, i didn't realize i had to actually quilt it !
.. i went by the book, word for word, and at the finish of it, it didn't say anything about actually quilting it .. so i thought i was done w/it .. and i had no idea that was what makes it a quilt ! ( nor did i know anything about mitered corners .. )
.. oh ya, and the whole thing was made with straight stitches alone ..
my twin brothers came home on leave from the army a few weeks ago ...
david serves in korea and jared serves in iraq .. this was the first time they saw each other in over 2 years ..

i've been wanting a nice quilting frame for a while now .. since i've picked up hand quilting ( and loving it !! ), i thought a nice frame would work better then a lap hoop .. so i started doing some research, trying to find one i like .. well, i found one that i liked - it's made by Hinterberg ..
so he said ok, np ...
here's what he made for me
this is used to loosen & tighten the screws, so i don't have to use my hands =)
pretty darn good considering it all came from scrap wood he had laying around =)
a friend of mine sent this to me and all i could say is OMG .. wish i had talent like this ... do finger painting & being able to play hangman count ?? =p
this can take hours to see them all, but i'm sure one day i will .. as you might too, enjoy !
