when we were kids, fart jokes were a big thing .. in fact, i must not have grown up becuz i still laugh myself silly over a good fart joke ..
.. i'm so immature ** beams ** ..

i remember being at gramma's for family gatherings and running around w/my cousins pointing fingers at one another accusing them of fotting ..

.. yes, i said fotting and it sounds just like it's spelled ..

i grew up in NY and i guess the accent was in play here ..

now, x amount of decades later, hubby & i have this ongoing argument, for lack of a better word ..
.. the argument is over the words ' orange ' & ' nevada ' ...
his version of orange sounds like ' aww - ran - juh ' .. where as i'm saying no, it's not aww - ran - juh, it's pronounced as an ' aah - ran - juh ' ..

when we first moved out of NY, the whole ' aww - ran - juh ' thing made me laugh myself silly ..
.. what are these peeps stupid ? it's not an awwrange, it's an ahrange

then there were some other words  the kids in school would tell me to say .. stuff, like ' dollar ', and ' park the car ' ..

another one hubby & i go round & round about is the proper pronunciation of nevada ..
his version : ' nev - eah - da ' ..
my version : ' nev - ah - da ' ..

last time we were arguing about this wasn't too long ago .. we were driving around to who knows where at the time, and had to stop to get some gas ..
ok, so he's pumping gas & i go in to get a coupla sodas .. and btw, it's soda not pop ..
.. so i go in & grab a coupla mountain dews for us and bring it up to the counter ..

chic behind the counter starts talking to me, says she looooves my shirt and where did i get it ? so, i told her it was a custom made shirt and you can make your own at blackjack online ..
.. ok, long story short, i posed the nevada vs. nevada question to her, see what she says .. apparently she & her hubby don't see eye to eye on that one either lol .. she says it one way, he says it another ..

.. guess i'll never get my orange nevada fots closure
